Inspecting storm drainage pipe culverts prior to installation to determine whether they are acceptable, repairable or rejectable saves time and money. We walk through AASHTO R73 in the first module of this workshop, which is a great tool that provides excellent guidance. It is proactive. Inspecting pipe after installation helps us determine whether proper installation occurred prior to project close out or final acceptance. The second half of the workshop focuses on this important milestone in the life of a storm drainage pipe.
